Attack the Block: saw this last night after so many people recommended it. My favorite summer movie after Rise of the Planet of the Apes:
1) The music editing is fantastic. The Brits seem to have the market cornered in using great songs. 2) The kids are so good. The lead looks to be a future Denzel Washington. 3) Great story of redemption where everyone steps up to become more than just stereotypes. And the Brit slang is so funny and playful. 4) THE CREATURE! designing one can make or break a film like this and they created a great one.
all in all it left me feeling like I just read a great graphic novel. I could literally see the comic panels from shot-to-shot. Congrats to Edgar Wright and an amazing team. GO!
